NESAM
Besides conduct of outreach and village adoption to serve the society, the College has initiated a student assisted NESAM Project from the academic year 2018-19. The vision is to make the students socially responsible citizens who are sensitive to the needs of the disadvantaged section of the society. It gives a platform to the students to dedicate themselves to community service and bring about social cultural end economic empowerment in the neighbourhood communities. This will enable students to realize their responsibility to serve the society, expose themselves to slums, villages and learn from the experience and try to create facilities to empower them. The villages selected for the NESAM project are Mudivaithanendal, Thiruvaluthinadarvilai, Sentahiambalam, Solaiputhur(Peikulam) and Kamaraj Nagar. Student Volunteers will commit themselves to reach to the people. In all of the selected villages, the Project focuses on General Health and Hygiene, Child Welfare, Youth Development, Training for women in tailoring and medical care. To implement the scheme successfully, the Institution will collaborate with Non-Governmental Organizations, Government officials and local leaders in future.
