The Student Council is a group of representatives from each department, of both the UG & PG, who elect leaders among themselves to serve and look out for the welfare of the students. The Student Council elects 4 dedicated members as Chairman, Vice –Chairman, Secretary, and Joint-Secretary to serve as office bearers in the Student Council. However all the council members would lend a helping hand to the effective functioning of the activities organised for the students by the college.
                 The Students Council has three clubs to enhance the skills of the students. The three clubs are The Oratory Club, Writers Forum and Cultural Club coordinated by three staff members. The Writers Forum has been making all efforts to bring out a magazine by the students, of the students and for the students, by name POPCON (POPe’s COllege News), to encourage the students to be innovative and also develop their writing and language skills. Steps are taken to improve the contents of POPCON in every new edition.
                 "Best Outgoing Student Award" has been instituted by the Student Council with the sole purpose of recognizing and honouring the students for their excellence in academic, cultural and sports activities. Final year PG/UG students who have exemplary conduct and character can apply for the Best Outgoing Student Award. Weightage is given for students showing excellence in areas like academic, sports, cultural, social service and membership in any voluntary service organization. A seven member committee identifies the awardee every year.
